Although Lykaia entered the world of men almost
blue, the spark of life lit in her and burned
strong from thereon. Her determination and
strength is ever evident while in her presence.
Her wits amaze us as every day goes by, as
coupled to her jumping ability they blend into
an unforgiving escape cocktail. Her presence in
the pack added
a special colour, which does not yet recognize
hierocracy of any kind or form. It just paints
everything bright and alive!
At
her depute at the CACIB of Katerini, in June of
2006, Lykaia seized the attention of FCI judge
Georgios Kostopoulos, who at awarding her
the titles of "Very Promising" and Best
Baby Puppy of Breed at an
age of 4½ months old, wrote in his judgment
sheet:
"High quality and type puppy. Very promising head, long neck,
excellent angulations, excellent top line,
excellent tail set and carriage, excellent bones,
excellent coat and movement for its age. Very
promising future!"
As she matured to an adult, she developed an unparallel drive in her movement, which from the start gave her an edge over other dogs in the ring, including her father Vihar, which she has managed to beat twice in 4 shows for the Breed!
In October of 2007, at the International Circuit of Athens, upon awarding her first the Open class between 7 bitches and then the Breed, followed by a 3rd Group placement amongst 7 other male breed winners, world renowned FCI judge
Espen Engh [NO] said:
"Big and strong bitch, still feminine enough. Beautiful head and expression, good ears. Strong neck, balanced angulation both ends. Deep chest. Firm topline with well set tail. Excellent legs and good feet. Moves very well from the side!"
